Oil Gas Assets

Indian PSUs (ONGC Videsh Ltd (OVL), Indian Oil Corporation Ltd (IOCL), Oil India Ltd (OIL), Bharat PetroResources Ltd (BPRL), Gas Authority of India Ltd. (GAIL), and Prize Petroleum Corporation Ltd (PPCL)) have 48 assets in 22 countries with total investment of US$ ~38 billion till 31st March 2023.

The current overseas assets acquired by the Indian PSUs account for an equity production of 19.53 MMTOE in year 2022-23, which works out to 30.71% of the India’s domestic production (63.6 MMTOE).

During recent years, Indian PSUs have acquired assets in UAE (Lower Zakum and Onshore Block-1), Oman (Mukhaizna) and Russia (Vankorneft&TassYuryakh).
